Welcome to Warwick High School!!
The Student Leaders want to make your transition to high school as easy as possible. We will be periodically visiting ninth graders in their classrooms.
On this website, we will find information about clubs, sports and upcoming events to help get you started in the right direction. High school is a step up from middle school, so this should be a time to step up your attitude!! This is a time to grow up, take chances, and grab each opportunity afforded you. There will be upper classmen and teachers to help guide and assist you along the way. We were all once freshmen, so we know how you are feeling. September is the best time to begin your experience with a bang. So, see ya in the hallways… Don’t get caught in the weekly hall sweeps!!

2008-2009 Teacher of the Year: Mr. Deon Garner
Mr. Garner was voted teacher of the year for 2008-2009 school year. We caught up with him at the end of the third day of school. Let’s see how he is adjusting to the new school year.
Mr. Garner has relocated to Learning Cottage 10, where he teaches AVID, Spanish II and Spanish IV. He seemed very excited about this upcoming school year with the Debate and Forensics Teams. Since he began his sponsorship of the Debate Team (2006) and the Forensics Team (2004), they have been phenomenally successful. Last year Warwick had its first State Champion for Original Oratory. The team's goal for the 2008-09 year is to become the Eastern Regional Champions, attend the State Championship and qualify for the National Championship. Mr. Garner wanted to share the following quote “If someone tells you to slow up you can not afford to slow up...you must keep moving, you must keep going”; this is the central theme of his life, “never give up, keep pressing towards the mark—we all have hurdles in our lives but, hurdles are meant to be jumped while running”. His clubs meet each Tuesday in LC 10.
