I am a native of Newport News and a graduate of Warwick High School and the College of William and Mary in Virginia. While in college I served as a President's Aide, Black Student Organization President, and Student Association Vice President for Cultural Affairs. I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and received the Benjamin Stoddert-Ewell Award for outstanding service to the College and the community, as well as the Algernon Sydney-Sullivan Award for contributions made towards the advancement of the College.

During my career in Newport News I’ve taught World History, Pre-I.B World Geography, Psychology, Multicultural World, U.S. History, and Practical Law at Ferguson, Woodside, Heritage, and Warwick High School. I’ve sponsored the Freshman and the Sophomore class, and coached Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track.

For the past four years I’ve taught I.B. History of the Americas at Warwick High School, and I currently serve as a TCIS and as the Lead Teacher for the Freshmen House. It has been a very rewarding opportunity to teach and serve at Warwick High School, my alma mater.
